War Cemetery Gross Fullen

According to cemetery lists, 136 known and approx. 1,500 unknown Soviet prisoners of war and 1 unknown Albanian are buried in this cemetery.

Of the 751 Italian military internees originally buried in the cemetery, most of whom died of tuberculosis, 29 were exhumed in the summer of 1955 and transferred to Italy. In April 1958, the remaining Italians were exhumed; 674 were reburied at the Italian cemetery of honor in Hamburg-Öjendorf and 48 were transferred to Italy.
